During the lockdown of 2020, we all learnt new skills, developed new habits, and started new routines. Me? I finally got on the bandwagon of listening to podcasts. Usually while I’m cleaning the house, washing dishes, or just about to fall asleep. It’s like listening to a bed time story and learning something new all at once!
Here are a few podcasts that come recommended from me as well as other CAIF team members.
Comedian Aditi Mittal, filmmaker Christina MacGillivray, and a host of special guests tackle a feast of taboo topics in a free-wheeling podcast about women, work, family, power and everything in between.
This episode was a particular favourite in the team. Featuring Anant Ahuja, Head of Organisational Development (OD) at Shahi Exports and founder of Good Business Labs, a labour innovation start-up that uses research to find common ground between worker wellbeing and business interests.
Darshana Gajare, Head of Sustainability at IMG Reliance runs this podcast that aims to simplify “sustainability”. She features experts, influencers, entrepreneurs, friends and family to chat about Sustainability 101s, Dos, Don’ts, Facts, Myths and everything in between to help you gradually transition into an eco-warrior.
This episode features myself along with Karan Kumar from the Laudes Foundation in a chat about careers in sustainable fashion that don’t involve being a designer!
The UN’s Ethical Fashion Initiative acts as a bridge, connecting marginalised artisan communities, often in challenging and remote locations, with some of the biggest names in international fashion. This podcast explores the issues driving the ethical fashion conversation with UN officer Simone Cipriani and sustainable fashion journalist Clare Press.
This episode features legendary trend forecaster Li Edelkoort.
Created by the Sustainable Fashion Academy, this podcast features host Michael Schragger exploring what it will take to transform the fashion and apparel industry so that it contributes positively to the lives of people and the health of the planet.
As we work on our Circular+ Program that explores the intersection of circular business models like rental and repair with social inclusion, we found special inspiration in this episode.
BoF is essential reading if you work anywhere close to the fashion industry, but its payment gateway means not everyone gets access to its content. Their podcast is a great way to get more insights and information from this fashion mainstay.
